Description:
Travel RN position available on a Med Surg unit.
The shift is from 07:00 to 19:00.
This position typically guarantees 36 hours per week.
No blocked scheduling is in place.
The unit has 29 beds and a staff of 42.
Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, 2 LVNs, 2 technicians, and 1 health unit coordinator.
Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, and 2 LVNs.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1.
Standard medical equipment is used on this unit.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized is Meditech.
Preferred skill set includes neuro med/surg, general medicine, and orthopedics.
Typical procedures performed include abdominal fluid removal and central line placement.
Candidates should possess a strong interpersonal skills as the ability to engage with patients is essential.
Candidates without required skills will not be considered.
Weekends are scheduled every other weekend with no call required.
Scrub color is royal blue; casual attire such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, crocs, artificial nails, and extreme hair colors are not permitted.
