Description:
The RN is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice.
Important aspects of this responsibility include the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care.
Acquisition of specialized knowledge, skills, and additional formal education is necessary to provide specialized care.
Demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice is essential.
Clinical practice must be consistent with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility.
The RN will supervise other staff as designated within the department.
Competence in all areas is required.
Skills such as patience, AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery steps are essential.
Documentation system experience is preferred.
General Med-Surg procedures will be performed on the unit, including initiating IVs, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and assisting with activities of daily living.
The dress code includes navy blue scrubs with designated embroidery.
Nail policy states that nails should be clean and healthy, with no artificial nails permitted.
Hair must be neat, clean, and styled appropriately, with long hair pulled back when working.
Visible tattoos should be covered whenever possible, and visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
Attendance policies will be followed as per company guidelines.
