Description:
This contract position is for an RN in a Medical-Surgical unit.
The shift is from 07:00 to 19:00.
There will be no call requirements.
The unit has 34 beds and a staff of 56.
Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 6 patients.
Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses, and 3 patient care technicians per shift.
The types of equipment used include wound vacs, trachs, suction devices, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps.
Candidates preferred for this role should have experience with chest tube management and port-a-cath access and de-access competencies.
Wound care and tube feeding are typical procedures performed on this unit.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and accountable for their responsibilities.
The designated dress code includes galaxy blue scrubs with no visible tattoos.
The unit follows specific standards of care and clean narcotic administration practices.
