**Exciting Opportunity for Med Surg RN - Night Shift!**
**Job Description:**
- Join a dynamic medical-surgical team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care!
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical
- Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
- Openings: 1
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care throughout your scheduled shift.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create organized and prioritized care plans.
- Supervise and assign duties to LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and Unit Coordinators based on acuity and proficiency.
- Respond decisively to emergencies and life-threatening situations.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and family responses accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments, including IV meds, blood products, and chemotherapy.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Follow physician orders diligently, ensuring proper execution and evaluation of patient outcomes.
**Unit Information:**
- Patient Ratios: 6-7 patients per nurse for medical-surgical care.
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics.
- Electronic Health Record: Meditech.
**Requirements:**
- Current State License is a must!
- 1-2 years of recent acute care experience is required.
- CPR certification required.
- Float to all med/surg floors as needed.
**Work Schedule:**
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW) is a minimum commitment, but flexibility is appreciated.
- Call Requirements: Occasional call due to low census, typically no more than once per month.
