Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) RN – New York

Start Date: September 29, 2026

Location: New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required

Highlights:
  • 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with complex patient populations including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
  • Advanced critical care technology including CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and EKOS
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with occasional 1:1 assignments based on acuity
  • EPIC charting system required; 24 hours of orientation provided
  • 13-week assignment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Travel nurses welcome, including first-time travelers
Requirements:
  • Active New York RN license required in hand prior to submission
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent MICU or critical care nursing experience
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
  • EPIC charting system experience is mandatory
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
  • Experience with critical care skills including arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips, ventilator management, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
  • Proficiency with advanced equipment including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO protocols preferred
  • Ability to float within the system as needed
  • Maximum 10 days of requested time off during assignment period
