Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical Units. Must be able to care for patients with a range of diagnoses including Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock. Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day. Unit Description: 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU. RN to Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Med/Surg areas. Patient population includes adults with varying conditions. EMR charting system used is EPIC. Telemetry competency is required. All Day positions may rotate shifts between 7 AM to 7 PM, 11 AM to 11 PM, or night shifts. Night shifts do not rotate.
