Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3x12s) Experience: Recent Epic experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in nursing practices. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide safe and humane care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and treatment team members. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
