Attendings and residents are present in the unit 24 hours a day. The unit consists of 20 beds in a Medical/Surgical ICU. RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Medical/Surgical areas. All patients are considered. The charting system used is EMR.
