Description:
This position utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
The role includes performing direct patient care activities for all age groups.
Responsibilities encompass assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
The nurse monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments.
The aim is to optimize patient care and comfort.
The nurse maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
There is a focus on evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordination of patient care with other departments is essential.
Patient rights and confidentiality of patient information must be maintained.
The position entails working within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines.
Physical demands include standing and walking for most shifts.
The role involves significant bending, stooping, and the lifting and turning of patients with assistance.
There may be a requirement to work differing schedules and shifts according to patient care needs.
Exposure to blood and body fluids presents high-risk conditions.
Additional physical demands involve pushing, pulling, grip strength, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
