Job Title: Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Proficient in IV starts Experience with telemetry Competency with ventilators EPIC experience required Description: We are looking for a Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse for the night shift. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts and every other weekend. This position involves a patient ratio of 1:1-2. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of Medical ICU experience. Certifications required include BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with ventilators and telemetry is essential. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in the EPIC documentation system. Specialized experience in multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, liver failure, and renal failure is preferred. Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients is a plus. Candidates must possess skills in the care of ventilated patients, management of dysrhythmias, and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Floating to different units within the organization may be required as needed. References from former supervisors or managers are preferred.
