Experience with computerized charting systems. Experience in managing complex medical treatments and procedures. Description: This position involves caring for critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics facing oncologic emergencies, respiratory distress, and other acute medical conditions. The role requires proficiency in managing mechanical ventilation, cardiac monitoring, and intricate medication regimens. Candidates must be skilled in starting and maintaining IVs, interpreting arterial blood gases, and managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction. Familiarity with specific treatments such as CRRT, central venous catheters, and chemotherapy administration is essential. Strong abilities in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration with various healthcare professionals are necessary. The nurse will provide high-quality patient care, ensure safety and comfort, and actively participate in clinical trials when applicable. Flexibility in scheduling and availability for potential day and night shifts is required. Additional responsibilities include educating patients and families about care plans and promoting infection prevention measures.
