The role requires working with adult and geriatric patients. Common patient diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, Adult respiratory distress syndrome, gastrointestinal bleed, neuromuscular disease, Drug overdose, consequences of oncologic treatment, Pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis. Treatment procedures may include mechanical ventilation, Pulmonary artery catheter placement, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), Arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, and central venous catheters. The nurse will administer chemotherapy, manage complex medication regimens, Conduct clinical trials, and perform plasmapheresis as needed. Experience with specialized equipment such as CRRT machines, NG/Dobhoff placement tools, IV pumps, and monitors is preferred. The position involves a patient ratio of 2. Interaction with interdisciplinary teams will be necessary. Candidates must be adaptable to the department's needs for scheduling. All candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process. References from professional leadership are required for submission.
