Description: This is an opportunity for an experienced ICU nurse. The ICU unit has 26 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Staffing consists of RNs and a unit secretary/COVID runner. Total care is provided by RNs. Equipment includes ventilators, IV pumps, balloon pumps, and more. Staff uses iMobile phones and technology in the hospital. Personal protective equipment is provided for COVID-19 patients. The documentation system used is Meditech with EBCD. Shifts are twelve hours from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend required. There are holiday requirements as part of the scheduling. Nursing staff may float to other units as needed. Patient experience protocols include hourly rounding and bedside hand-off reporting. The facility is certified in various specialties and is striving for Magnet status. The unit is recognized for high-quality measures and outstanding performance.
