Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) – Texas

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 36 guaranteed hours per week; every other weekend; no call required
Assignment Length: 13 weeks

- High-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit with diverse case mix including chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and NG tubes
- Work with advanced critical care equipment including IABP and CRRT

- Electronic medical record system: Meditech
- Float policy applies per facility guidelines
- Professional environment with clear attendance policies and structured shift expectations
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage complex, critically ill patients
- MICU or Medical-Surgical ICU background preferred
- IABP and CRRT experience preferred
- Meditech documentation experience preferred
