Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 36–48 Hours Per Week Available | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving a diverse patient population including GI conditions, blood loss and anemia, infections, renal patients, and post-operative GI surgical patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients in designated telemetry beds
- Perform and maintain IV starts and other required clinical skills throughout the shift
- Utilize unit systems including EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR communication framework
- Float as needed to other Med/Surg units or floors within the facility
- Manage a patient assignment with target ratios of 1:6, with the understanding that ratios may reach 1:7 based on staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active NC or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Minimum 2 successfully completed travel assignments required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience on a high-acuity or high-turnover Med/Surg unit
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
