    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Travel)

    Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, CKD, and post cardiac cath care
    • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms via telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
    • Manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently within the unit workflow
    • Administer medications and IV therapies including basic cardiac drips using Baxter IV pumps and unit-standard equipment
    • Float to Med/Surg overflow as needed and work every other or every third weekend (12-hour weekend shifts)
    • Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR and collaborate with the Clinical Staff Lead or Charge Nurse
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in good standing
    • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required
    • Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1
    • Must reside 60 miles or greater from facility to qualify as a Travel candidate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN preferred
    • Experience with Meditech EMR
    • EKG interpretation skills and basic cardiac drip knowledge
    • Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to a fast-paced unit environment
