Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekends and holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical and surgical nursing care to adult inpatient and outpatient populations across Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
- Monitor and care for telemetry patients, surgical patients, and swing bed patients as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Float to other Medical-Surgical or rehabilitation units as needed to support staffing requirements
- Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC electronic health records
- Work assigned holidays per facility requirements; travelers are expected to work at least one major holiday per contract period
- May provide care for COVID-positive patients as part of unit scope
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — no license encumbrances accepted
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — AHA or ARC only
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
- EPIC electronic health records experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
- Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract; please plan accordingly
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for telemetry, swing bed, and overflow patient populations
- Familiarity with EKG interpretation (candidates may be required to complete and pass an EKG competency exam within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Experience working in a tobacco-free and fragrance-free healthcare environment
