    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed telemetry-monitored Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:5–6
    • Administer and titrate drips including heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, and 3% saline infusion
    • Perform continuous EKG/ECG monitoring, rhythm strip interpretation, and dysrhythmia identification
    • Provide post-operative surgical care for patients following procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, and minor surgeries
    • Float across Medical Surgical and post-operative units as needed
    • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license required at time of submission
    • Minimum 24 months of current experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Med/Tele nursing
    • Post-operative surgical care experience including EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, and minor surgery
    • Demonstrated experience administering and titrating drips: heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, and 3% saline infusion
    • Ability to confidently read EKGs/ECGs and perform all telemetry-related duties including dysrhythmia interpretation
    • Active AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • EPIC EMR experience required
    • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 12 months
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
    • Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Med/Tele discipline
