Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Charge RN)
Serve in a Charge RN capacity on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit managing a patient ratio of 1:6
Care for a diverse patient population including those with Infectious Disease, Hospice/Palliative Care, Oncology, Cardiac Acute/Med Care, Post-Surgical, Bariatric, Urology, Neurology, and Orthopedic needs
Complete an open-book EKG test at orientation as a unit requirement
Float as needed, including to a sister facility approximately 25 minutes away (lower acuity setting)
Provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend rotation, with an expected 12 weekend shifts per contract
Required Qualifications
Valid Arizona RN license or Compact RN license required
BLS and ACLS required — certifications must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
Minimum 1.5 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required
EPIC EMR proficiency required
Experience with a 1:6 patient ratio required
Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted
First-time travelers will not be considered
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
Candidates with prior work history at this facility system will be subject to HR rehire status review before submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
CPI certification preferred
Experience floating across units or facilities of varying acuity levels
Background in a high-acuity, multi-specialty Med Surg / Tele environment
