Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit operating under a team nursing model (LPN + RN), with a ratio of 8:1
- Float within scope of practice as needed, including occasional float to a sister facility approximately 25 minutes away (lower acuity setting)
- Complete an open-book EKG test at orientation
- Work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per contract
- Fulfill the full contract length; commitment to the entire 13-week assignment is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arizona RN license required
- BLS certification required (must be current and not expire within 30 days of start date)
- NIHSS certification required (must be current and not expire within 30 days of start date)
- Minimum 2+ years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
- Proficiency in EPIC required
- Must be agreeable to floating to a sister facility on a rare, as-needed basis
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Prior experience working within a team nursing model is a plus
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
