Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
- Deliver and oversee the quality of nursing services provided by self and others under their direction.
- Utilize specialized nursing knowledge, judgment, and skills to assess patient data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of each patient.
- Care for Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients, including those with stroke diagnoses, as assigned.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (license verification must be less than 30 days old).
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with stroke patients (must be reflected on resume).
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS Certification, mRs/SIREN Certification, and pass a Basic EKG assessment (score of 85% or higher) within 48 hours of offer.
- COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and vaccination must be state recorded.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule with no scheduling restrictions; must be willing to work the facility's assigned schedule.
