    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

    Location

    Towson, MD | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
    • Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
    • Provide care to telemetry patients as needed, including those with stroke diagnoses
    • Maintain accountability for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction
    • Complete required facility certifications, including NIHSS, mRs/SIREN, and Basic EKG (score of 85% or higher), within 48 hours if offered
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (license verification must be less than 30 days old)
    • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
    • NIHSS Certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours if offered)
    • Minimum 2+ years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
    • Minimum 2+ years of experience working with stroke patients (must be reflected on resume)
    • Previous travel nursing experience required
    • Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions
    • COVID-19 vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be state recorded

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience interpreting and monitoring telemetry and EKG rhythms
    • Familiarity with stroke protocols and neurological assessment tools
    • Experience in an acute care setting with high admission and emergency volume
