Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation — to provide individualized patient care
- Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
- Perform patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various nursing interventions
- Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing expertise using age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting
- Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Must be a local candidate residing within 80 miles of the facility to be eligible for this position
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing setting
- Familiarity with inter-professional care coordination and patient education practices
- Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
