    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Days)

    Location

    Sioux City, IA | Acute Care (Level 3 Trauma Center)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | Onsite | Expected 36–40 hours/week; overtime may be available after 40 hours

    Key Responsibilities
    • Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team in the provision and management of patient care
    • Care for post-operative patients requiring overnight stays on a general medical/surgical floor, including patients recovering from prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgeries, thyroidectomy, and similar procedures
    • Administer and monitor IV drips including Heparin
    • Document patient care and assessments using EPIC EMR
    • Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
    • Active Iowa RN license or compact nursing license (must reflect Active status via Nursys)
    • Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates also accepted)
    • Active NIHSS certification required
    • Valid Driver's License required
    • Skills Checklist specific to Med Surg/Telemetry required at time of submission
    • One Supervisory Reference Form completed within the last two years required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license address)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for post-operative surgical patients in an acute care setting
    • Familiarity with Heparin drip administration and management
    • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
