Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide care on a general medical/surgical floor, including post-operative patients requiring overnight stays.
- Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and medical-surgical nursing interventions.
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN state license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous nursing experience required.
- At least 1 completed travel contract required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
- Must not have been employed at the facility within the last 12 months.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- First-time travelers will be considered.
