Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required | One winter and one summer holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, managing medical-surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients
- Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1 and collaborate with nurse aides assigned at an average ratio of 8:1–10:1
- Titrate drips including insulin and pain medications per established protocols
- Validate telemetry strips as required; unit utilizes centralized telemetry monitoring
- Manage patients requiring respiratory support including BiPAP and high-flow oxygen
- Float to other units as needed and fill open shifts through self-scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
- Epic EMR experience is required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience with telemetry
- Ability to read and validate telemetry strips independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for stroke patients in a non-acute setting
- Familiarity with BiPAP and high-flow oxygen equipment
- Experience working in a self-scheduling environment
