Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week (19:45–07:15)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinically competent nursing care to patients on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Float to additional units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina or compact eligibility
- Current BCLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification completed within the past year required
- Medical Surgical experience with telemetry background
- Must maintain permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Comfort and flexibility working in varied acute care unit environments
