Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6 within a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system to document and coordinate patient care
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed, including to the Stepdown unit
- Fulfill holiday coverage expectations, including working 1–2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Illinois and Iowa (or eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS certification (AHA) required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date
- 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission
- Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Stepdown or cardiac experience preferred, as floating to the Stepdown unit may be required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
