Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to cardiac dysrhythmias
• Float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed based on staffing and census demands
• Participate in holiday coverage; expected to work designated holiday blocks including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's periods as scheduled
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications — all must be current and in hand prior to placement

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License — must be on file prior to placement
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly required
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit required
• Personal vehicle required for this assignment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system highly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
