    Job Description – RN (Registered Nurse), MedSurg/Tele Float Pool
    Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7p–7:30a)
    Start Date: 11/02/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks
    Positions Available: 2
    Unit Type: Telemetry (RN II – MedSurg/Tele Float Pool)
    Care Setting: Acute | Division: Nursing
    Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
    Trauma Level: 1 (Level I trauma experience required)
    Charting System: Cerner

    Unit Notes:

    • Supports multiple med-surg, telemetry, neuro, and observation units with typical ratios of 1:3–6
    • Units include Tower 5–8 (med/surg, oncology, lung transplant, cardiac surgery, trauma, organ transplant), Neuro units 5N/6N/7NNB (stroke, neuro, epilepsy, ENT, migraines), and 6HLT/7HLT (cardiac procedures and observation)
    • May also float to Neuro Rehab, Surgical Landing Zone, ED Holds, Zone 4, and to Westgate/Laveen med-surg telemetry units (1:4–5 ratios)
    • Travelers must float as needed and cannot decline based on unit type
    • No call; if placed on standby for low census, 30-minute response time required
    • Assignment notifications via GroupMe texting service (or phone call if unavailable) 30–60 minutes in advance
    • RN must clock in on-unit by 7a/7p for shift huddle; department code changes with each unit
    • Orientation: 2 shifts (1 on-unit, 1 in ED Holds), third shift only if needed
    • All reports completed at bedside; two-person skin assessment required within first 4 hours of shift
