    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

    Philadelphia, PA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive patient care across multiple inpatient medical-surgical and step-down units as part of a float pool assignment
    • Adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows while functioning independently with strong clinical judgment
    • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on standard Med/Surg units, with potential variation based on unit acuity and staffing needs
    • Accurately document patient care activities and adhere to medication safety protocols in accordance with facility policies
    • Rotate every other weekend as part of standard scheduling requirements
    • Remain available to work shifts surrounding designated holidays as required
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience; new graduates will not be considered
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
    • Strong proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
    • Ability to float between multiple inpatient units, including medical-surgical, step-down, and ED med/surg hold areas
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Current TNCC certification
    • Prior float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
