Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Orangeburg, SC | Acute Care Hospital
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, including identification and response to dysrhythmias
- Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June – November), as required by facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered at the standard rate; candidates within 60 miles may be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a community hospital setting
- First-time travel nurses will be considered
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
