Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout each shift
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license valid in South Carolina, required prior to start date
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Demonstrated telemetry competency
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
