Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed telemetry and surgical floor
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC
- Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Complete NIH and stroke education requirements as mandated for acute care RN roles
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Virginia license in hand at time of submittal or valid compact license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Specialty experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry within the last year required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH stroke scale certification or willingness to complete upon hire
- Prior travel nursing experience with familiarity of travel compliance expectations
- One supervisory professional reference available at time of submittal
