Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed telemetry and surgical floor
- Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and post-surgical observation
- Accurately document patient care and clinical findings using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or a compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Specialty experience within the last year in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH stroke scale education and training
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting
