    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Contract (13 or 26-week options available) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | 36 or 48-hour weekly options available | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, including specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Transplant, and Orthopedics
    • Administer and manage IV drips — drip competency is required on all floors
    • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
    • Float frequently within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units, including potential assignment to a sister campus approximately 16 minutes away
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, and swoop/paramedics
    • Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and working 2 of 3 major winter holidays
    Required Qualifications
    • Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska — pending licenses accepted; however, placement will be scheduled six weeks out if license is not in hand at time of submission
    • BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
    • Experience in a Level I Academic Medical Center required for first-time travelers to be considered
    • Proficiency with EPIC charting required
    • Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in specialty areas such as Telemetry, Oncology, Trauma, Neuroscience, or Cardiac care
    • Familiarity with PCU-level patient populations and complex medication or blood product administration
    • Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume academic medical center environment
