    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hour per week options available | 13 or 26 week contract options available

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, including potential assignment to units focused on Neuroscience, Orthopedics, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Transplant, or Observation
    • Administer and manage IV drips — drip competency is required on all floors
    • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
    • Float frequently within scope to meet staffing needs across multiple units, including potential assignment to a sister campus approximately 16 minutes from the main campus
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs (where assigned)
    • Fulfill weekend and holiday shift requirements as outlined by unit policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska RN license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date will be adjusted accordingly)
    • BLS certification required
    • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting (experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center required for first-time travelers)
    • Proficiency with EPIC charting is required
    • Ability and willingness to float frequently across units to meet facility staffing needs
    • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification strongly preferred
    • Experience in specialty areas such as Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Neuroscience, or Solid Organ Transplant
    • Prior travel nursing experience, particularly at a Level I Academic Medical Center
