    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float

    Location

    Olympia, WA | Short Term Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:30

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float across units to fill staffing needs, supporting a diverse patient population including ER-boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients
    • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6 depending on unit acuity
    • Perform core charge nurse duties on select smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination
    • Document and chart using EPIC
    • Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
    • Charge nurse experience is required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals are accepted under a separate rate structure)
    • Must submit all time-off requests and scheduling preferences upfront at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
    • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Cardiac step-down experience
    • Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
    • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
