Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:30
Key Responsibilities
- Float across units to fill staffing needs, supporting a diverse patient population including ER-boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6 depending on unit acuity
- Perform core charge nurse duties on select smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination
- Document and chart using EPIC
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
- Charge nurse experience is required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals are accepted under a separate rate structure)
- Must submit all time-off requests and scheduling preferences upfront at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac step-down experience
- Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
