Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
- Manage IV insulin protocols and administer medications in accordance with facility standards
- Perform and oversee Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) as indicated
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate and timely documentation
- Float within scope of practice to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in applicable state (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
- Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Completed EKG course and/or telemetry competency test required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the contracted facility (local candidates are not eligible)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Demonstrated ability to float across units and adapt to varying patient care environments
