Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry float pool setting across designated units
- Float to various units based on facility needs
- Perform accurate and timely clinical documentation using EPIC
- Adhere to unit-specific protocols and maintain specialty competencies in Med/Surg and Telemetry care
- Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license — Virginia state license required to be in hand at submittal, or proof of a valid Compact license
- EPIC charting experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH and stroke education required
- Specialty experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry within the last year required
- One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
- SSN required at time of submittal
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same base rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital float pool environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Strong adaptability and ability to transition between units efficiently
