    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Lufkin, Texas, 75904!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Location

    Lufkin, TX | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 hrs/week or 36/48 hrs bi-weekly | Every other weekend required | Holidays required | No call or standby requirement

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 5–6:1
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently; telemetry monitor techs are on unit but RNs must be able to read strips
    • Titrate Heparin drips as required; manage patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
    • Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and general med/surg telemetry conditions
    • Float to all med/surg units and potentially to PCU to care for telemetry holds prior to transfer
    • Document accurately using the Paragon charting system (facility transitioning to EPIC in October 2026)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
    • Minimum 18 months of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required or may be required
    • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
    • Strong communication and time management skills; must be a collaborative team player
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience working in a rural hospital setting
    • Familiarity with Paragon or EPIC electronic health record systems
    • Experience managing patients on CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen
