    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 26-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, serving an adolescent through geriatric population
    • Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias using on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring; utilize Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
    • Perform and manage IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, and PICC line management; administer heparin protocols and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
    • Provide respiratory and thoracic care including ventilator management for chronic/long-term ventilated patients, tracheostomy management, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
    • Care for cardiovascular patients including post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, and pre/post cardiac catheterization and surgery
    • Float to Med-Surg and other Telemetry units as needed; provide every-other-weekend coverage with no on-call requirement
    Required Qualifications
    • Active California RN license required at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required
    • Ventilator experience required
    • EPIC EMR experience required
    • Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
    • Must pass an Advanced EKG exam (onsite, 80% minimum passing score, two attempts permitted)
    • No license restrictions, disciplinary actions, board investigations, or background findings will be considered
    • Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with heparin protocols and cardiac/vasoactive drip management
    • Familiarity with chest tube management (Emerson/Pleuravac) and non-invasive airway management
