Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekends Every Other Weekend as Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, including patients with cardiac disease, stroke, joint replacements, respiratory conditions, and peritoneal dialysis needs
- Care for post-operative patients transitioning from ICU, including stable open heart surgery patients
- Float to other Medical Surgical floors and potentially rehabilitation units as needed; may assist on additional units in a support capacity
- Participate in patient education initiatives in collaboration with program coordinators for conditions such as CHF and stroke
- Complete pre-start orientation modules and required facility compliance training prior to start date
- May provide care for COVID-positive patients in accordance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no license hits accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Willingness to adhere to a tobacco-free and fragrance-free workplace policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
- Background in post-operative care or rehabilitation nursing
- Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis patient care
