Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED border setting, managing a wide variety of diagnoses including complex ED admission cases
- Deliver care within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-volume environment with an average daily census of up to 40 border patients
- Float as required between ED borders, MS/Telemetry, and IMC units within specialty and scope
- Manage care across a 46-room unit, adapting to fluctuating patient volumes and acuity levels
- Participate in scheduled holiday coverage as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association only
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association only
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
- Ability and willingness to float within scope with no restrictions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, IMC, or Emergency Department settings
- Comfort working in high-volume, fast-paced border or overflow patient care environments
