    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (ED Border)

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 3x12 Hours (19:30–08:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED border setting, managing a wide variety of diagnoses including complex ED admission cases
    • Deliver care within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-volume environment with an average daily census of up to 40 border patients
    • Float as required between ED borders, MS/Telemetry, and IMC units within specialty and scope
    • Manage care across a 46-room unit, adapting to fluctuating patient volumes and acuity levels
    • Participate in scheduled holiday coverage as assigned
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association only
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association only
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
    • Ability and willingness to float within scope with no restrictions
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, IMC, or Emergency Department settings
    • Comfort working in high-volume, fast-paced border or overflow patient care environments
