Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
- Monitor and manage patients with telemetry needs, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–1:7, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout the shift
- Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Attend required staff meetings and complete all assigned onboarding modules prior to start date
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Must complete all assigned onboarding modules by the Thursday before the start date
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submission; RTO submitted after will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry nursing experience
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience charting in Epic
