Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:6–1:7
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Float to like units with like patients as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Complete all assigned onboarding modules prior to start date; attendance at staff meetings is required
- During hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered as a standard applicant; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry nursing experience
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Familiarity with acute care hospital environments
