    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Location

    Colorado Springs, CO (Float Zone – includes facilities within a 60-mile radius, including locations in Pueblo, CO and Canon City, CO)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite | Travel / Float Pool

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care across Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units, with potential float assignments to Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units
    • Manage an adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine conditions
    • Titrate Heparin drips and operate respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed
    • Float to multiple facilities within a designated 60-mile zone based on scheduling need, including both pre-scheduled and just-in-time (JIT) shift assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start
    • Maintain flexibility to support staffing gaps across permanent scheduling, including weekend and holiday rotation requirements
    • Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nurse aides while maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 based on acuity
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
    • Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
    • Must reside or obtain housing within a feasible distance to float throughout the full 60-mile zone
    • Must be physically present in state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
    • Valid driver's license required; must be at least 60 miles from each facility within the float zone (no home base facility)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in neurological nursing
    • Experience floating across multiple acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown and ICU (low-acuity holds)
    • Comfort working in a just-in-time scheduling environment with short-notice facility assignments
