Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend coverage, may vary based on unit need | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical, surgical, and cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring, with a ratio of 4–5 patients per nurse
- Collaborate with a team that includes 2 CNAs and a unit secretary present on all shifts
- Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC EMR
- Float to like units or nearby facilities as needed based on census demands; floating will only occur to units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
- Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN License required
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
- Experience caring for cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Comfort working in a float capacity across similar units or campuses
