    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Location

    Rochester, NY | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a cardiac patient population
    • Perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement — mandatory competencies required for all RNs in this role
    • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed
    • Manage peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, and various oxygen delivery systems including nasal cannula, face masks, and portable oxygen tanks
    • Adhere to isolation precautions and facility infection control protocols
    • Float within scope to like units to meet facility staffing needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unencumbered New York State RN License — must be in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
    • BLS certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
    • Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement
    • Every-other-weekend availability required
    • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry or cardiac unit
    • Demonstrated proficiency with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
    • Familiarity with Rapid Response Team protocols
