    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 08:00 – 20:30

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Manage care for an adult to geriatric patient population across a 63-bed unit
    • Float within specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed — travelers are first to float
    • Work every other weekend and holidays as they fall per schedule
    • Adhere to unit scrub color requirements (Navy)
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    • Active Maryland RN license or Compact License required at time of submission
    • BLS certification (AHA only) required
    • ACLS certification (AHA only) required
    • CPI certification required — the Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address); locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless otherwise specified
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
    • Comfort with floating within scope and across acuity levels with no restrictions
    • Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations in a telemetry or medical surgical setting
